Taninim Stream, Master Plan  


 








  Landscape Architecture - Taninim Stream

The water basin of the Taninim Stream is one of the most unique, diversified and interesting regions in Israel. Its complexity is reflected by cultural, ecological, hydrological and landscape aspects. The Israeli Stream Rehabilitation Administration, supported by the LIFE Foundation of the European Community, initiated the preparation of a master plan for the Taninim Stream and its tributaries. The goals of the plan to realize and develope the potential of the region and to draft a policy for the conservation and rehabilitation of its values and resources. The master plan was prepared by Greenstein Har-Gil landscape architects with the assistance of professional consultants. The plan focuses on a "basin perspective" which recognizes the stream as a product of processes taking place in its wide environment

The master plan consists of: Chapter A - The main points of the plan; B -Planning policy and objectives of the plan, C - Framework of the plan and its definitions from aspects of land uses and the stream channels; D - Aspects of the application policy, proposed projects derived from the master plan; E - Guidelines from various professional aspects and summary of the inventory survey in each field.
